Ride the SeaBus for the View

You don’t need a destination to enjoy this adventure. The 12-minute ride between Downtown Vancouver and North Vancouver offers beautiful views of Burrard Inlet, the city skyline and the North Shore Mountains. There have also been increased wildlife sightings, including orcas and beavers, so be sure to have your little one keep an eye out.
Once you arrive, spend some time exploring Lonsdale Quay or The Shipyards before hopping back on.

Explore Terra Nova Adventure Play Environment

This isn’t your typical playground. The giant climbing towers, rope features, and slides are enough to keep little ones busy for hours, and there’s even a sandbox, lots of open space to explore and plenty of picnic areas if you want to stay awhile. We always end up taking a walk along the waterfront trails afterward, and it the ice cream truck is there, it’s hard to leave without stopping.
If you’re making a day of it, Steveston Village is just a short drive away for fish and chips before heading home.

Granville Pedestrian Zone
Although the FIFA World cup is over, the Granville Pedestrian zone has been extended until September 7th. There will be a number of free events, activities and performances all summer long, making it a great place to check out with your kids while exploring Downtown Vancouver.

This year’s performance comes as the Snowbirds celebrate their 55th anniversary and marks their final season flying the iconic CT-114 Tutor jets before the fleet is retired.
