Times are tough for all Canadians, so that’s why keeping track of your benefits from the Government of Canada is extra important.

To make sure you’re getting the most you can out of the Government of Canada, here’s all the upcoming benefits you can look forward to.

GOVERNMENT OF CANADA BENEFITS IN NOVEMBER

CANADA CHILD BENEFIT

The Canada Child Benefit (CCB) is a monthly payment administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Eligible families can receive this payment to ensure they can support the growing costs of raising a family.

Eligibility depends on a variety of factors. This includes you being “primarily responsible for the care and upbringing of the child.” To check if you can receive the CCB, the Government of Canada provides a full run-down of all the details. Maximum annual payments can reach up to $7,787.

If you’re eligible and registered, then you can expect your CCB payment to come on November 20, 2025.

CANADA DISABILITY BENEFIT

The Canada Disability Benefit is another monthly payment, but this time administered by Service Canada. These payments “provide… direct financial support to people with disabilities who are between 18 and 64 years old.”

Eligible folks include those who are between the aforementioned ages, approved for the disability tax credit, and have filed their 2024 federal income tax return. You must also be a Canadian resident for income tax filing purposes. The maximum annual amount you can receive from July 2025 to June 2026 is $2,400.

Your benefit amount depends on your adjusted family net income. But as long as you qualify, have applied, and have accepted your eligibility decision, your payments will begin the month you apply– in November’s case, on the 20th, 2025.

CANADA PENSION PLAN

If you’re retired, then that means it’s almost time for your Canada Pension Plan (CPP) payment to come through. This monthly, taxable benefit “replaces part of your income when you retire”, and will keep coming each month for the rest of your life.

To qualify, all you have to be is at least 60 years old and have made at least one valid contribution to the CPP. You can also keep working after you begin receiving your CPP retirement pension– it won’t be reduced, and you may also qualify for the CPP Post-Retirement Benefit.

Your CPP amounts are all dependent on what age you started receiving your pension, how much and how long you contributed to the CPP, and how much you earned throughout your working life. CPP payments will be coming through on November 26, 2025.

OLD AGE SECURITY

If you’re 65 and older, then the Old Age Security (OAS) pension is a monthly payment that you can receive. As long as you have sufficient information available, Service Canada will automatically enroll you into the payment plan.

Qualifications include the aforementioned age range, as well as being a Canadian citizen or legal resident at the time of OAS approval. You must also have resided in Canada for at least 10 years since the age of 18. There are other qualifications for those living outside of Canada, which you can check here.

Maximum monthly payment amounts depend on your age. The 65 to 74 age range can receive up to $734.95, and those 75 and over can get $808.45. November’s payments will come through on the 26th, 2025.

VETERAN DISABILITY PENSION

If you have received “hearing loss, tinnitus or a similar condition related to your service”, then you could be eligible for the Veteran Disability Pension. This tax-free payment is meant to support service members well-being during and after their service.

Your eligibility depends on a few factors, but the primary ones include you being part of the Canadian Armed Forces or the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), or a veteran. There are inclusions for certain civilians who served in the Second World War, as well– more details are available here.

Eligible veterans and service members can receive either a life-time monthly benefit or a lump sum benefit. Amounts are dependent on many variables, so be sure to check the rates on the Government of Canada website. For the maximum amount on the Pain and Suffering Compensation table, you could receive a lump sum of $452,898.74– but that’s only if you are a 100% in regards to the extent of your disability.

Monthly payments for the Veteran Disability Pension will come on November 27, 2025.
