One very lucky B.C. resident will be walking away $46 million richer after this week’s Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball draw.
B.C. Lotto 6/49 Winner
According to BCLC, the winning ticket was sold in Quesnel. The only thing is that the prize has yet to be claimed, so the specific location where the winner made the purchase won’t be revealed just yet.
“Good morning B.C.! A ticket purchased in Quesnel won the $46 million prize from last night’s Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball Draw! Is it you?” wrote BCLC on social media.

The winning number for the Gold Ball draw is 12706438-43. The winner has one year from the draw date to claim their prize.
Other B.C. Winners
B.C. has been pretty lucky this past year. In October, a Metro Vancouver couple won $500,000 after buying a ticket on a whim.
On a shopping trip together, couple Sang Eun Lee and Myung Jun Kim decided that they could buy a lottery ticket. “I was at home when I scanned the ticket on the [BCLC Lotto!] app and saw it was a winner,” said Lee. “I didn’t believe my eyes. My husband was at the gym and I had him come home to show him.”

Another Metro Vancouver man won $1 million after winning September 5’s Lotto Max draw. When he told his son, he only had a funny request for his father.
Other notable wins include B.C.’s biggest jackpot ever that was cashed in at $80 million, and a Vancouver resident who netted $40 million with his ticket.
If you’re feeling lucky, remember to know your limit, play within it. And if you believe you’re the B.C. resident lotto winner with the ticket from Quesnel, be sure to claim your prize!
