North Vancouver Harbour Swimming Deck
The Harbour Swimming Deck was first announced in November 2025, with the first public update on the project being released on February 2.
The deck plans to be 7,000-square-metres with room enough for 250 people to lounge atop of it. There will also be three 50-metre swim lanes, two diving platforms (3 and 5 metres), a tiered seating area, as well as shallow water pool. According to the website page, the deck design is still in its early concept stage. “The future structure will have features that prioritize livability and accessibility along with the City’s vision of becoming the healthiest small city in the world.”

The final designs are slated to be completed by fall 2026, with construction to start before the end of the year. As long as everything remains on track, the deck will open in time for spring 2027.

Swim Drink Fish, who is partnering with the City of North Vancouver to create the Harbour Swimming Deck, said that “this project will create much-needed public space and stand as a powerful example of how thoughtful investment can reclaim urban waterfronts and bring swimmable, inclusive spaces back to city life.”
