According to officials, an accused murderer from California is on the run and may be hiding out in Greater Vancouver.

The suspect is 54-year-old Peter Chadwick, a British-born millionaire real estate investor.

Chadwick has been charged with murder in connection with the death of his wife at their home in Newport Beach. The incident took place in October 2012 and was a crime that Chadwick initially tried to blame on a handyman.

Police believe he proceeded to dumped his wife’s body in a dumpster near the Mexican border.

Chadwick made bail but has since been missing since 2015. His case spurred a new true crime podcast called “Countdown to Capture”.

The Newport Beach Police Department is offering a US$100,000 reward for information that leads directly to his arrest.

Police say Vancouver was a popular vacation spot for Chadwick and his family before the crime took place.

Anyone who comes across Chadwick is advised not to approach as he may be armed and dangerous. Instead, you are asked to contact police immediately.
