Fall weather in Vancouver is approaching, which means the wetter season is upon the us. But if you’re wondering how the entirety of autumn might look like, we break down all the forecast details so your plans can stay out of the rain.

Fall Weather in Metro Vancouver
The Old Farmer’s Almanac has recently published its Fall 2026 Forecast, which includes predictions for all of Canada’s provinces. According to the forecast, “Canada is shaping up for a milder fall overall. Warmer than average temperatures are expected across much of the country, while cooler weather settles into parts of central and northern Canada and southwestern British Columbia.”
While you should expect rainfall in B.C., and by extension Metro Vancouver, you might not need your raingear as often as you normally do, depending on where you’re located. Most of Canada will be experiencing above-average precipitation with B.C. as the notable exception to this trend.
If you’re located in northern B.C., you’ll see below average rainfall. But for those in Metro Van and southern B.C., it’ll be wetter-than-normal conditions for you.
Environment Canada is predicting with a 60% probability for B.C. to experience temperatures above normal, although there’s still a chance for temperatures to dip back to normal. At the beginning of September, its official fall forecast will be released, giving us a better look at what to expect this fall.
