Mundy Park Outdoor Pool
This newly renovated and modern aquatic facility cost the City of Coquitlam $32 million and only just opened in 2025.
The pool was previously known as Spani Outdoor Pool, built originally in 1972. This modernized version of the swimming facility now boasts a large number of amenities as well as accessibility features, so that everyone in the community can enjoy staying cool.

Pool Features
Included in Mundy Park Outdoor Pool’s features are a leisure pool with a beach entry, splash area, lazy river, and a deep end. There’s also a lap pool and a warming pool.
For those that want to take a dive, there’s a diving board provided, too. The expanded deck spaces are perfect for lounging, or perhaps if you’re looking to sunbathe. It’s also a nice area for event hosting.
Besides that, there are tons of accessibility features. From a wheelchair-accessible ramp in the main pool tank to braille signage, Mundy Park Outdoor Pool is a place for everybody.
The best part? The pools are actually heated and adjusted depending on the weather conditions. Open from May through early October, this means you can enjoy a nice outdoor dip even when it isn’t summer.
