Widgeon Marsh Regional Park
Described as a “remarkable ecological treasure” by Mike Hurley, Chair of Metro Vancouver’s Board of Directors, Widgeon Marsh Regional Park is quite a special place. It has not only forested slopes, but also a beautiful marsh edge and sweeping mountain views. From picnics to strolling down the park’s four-kilometre paved trail, the wilderness is only a stone’s throw away when you’re there.

The park will be opened for limited public access.
“This limited opening reflects our commitment to protecting sensitive habitats while creating meaningful opportunities for people to connect with nature. We’re grateful for the collaboration with First Nations and local communities, and we look forward to continuing this work,” said Hurley.
As southwest B.C.’s largest freshwater wetland, some of the region’s most sensitive lands call this area home. Preservation of Widgeon Marsh is a top priority to Metro Vancouver, and the public will now be able to view it in all its natural beauty.
