RCMP Builds A $1 Billion Headquarters In Surrey

Federal Public Safety Minister, Vic Toews, has announced that B.C. RCMP officers are getting ready to move into their new $1 billion headquarters which is located in Surrey.

A move so large, consisting of 2,700 RCMP employees which come from 25 various E Division units, requires a lot coordination and planning in order to run smoothly, such a move can put a strain on RCMP performance if not done in an appropriate manner.

RCMP staff have been thoroughly preparing for the move into the purpose-built space for quite some time, so that the transition is smooth and the B.C. RCMP can be fully functional during the move period.

The new RCMP headquarters can be found in an area of Surrey known as Green Timbers, located at 14200 Green Timbers Way. The new building, though costly, looks impressive, and fit for the lifestyle and duties a RCMP officer faces.
