Health Canada has just issued a massive recall notice for 30,000 power banks that were sold in the country. Due to fire hazards, consumers are asked to “immediately stop using the recalled products.”

Power Banks Under Recall in Canada
The product in concern is the XO Poppy Powerbank, Magsafe Compatible, 5000 mAh, in various colours and prints, which also came with a USB-C charging cable.
According to the recall notice, “the power bank’s lithium-ion battery may overheat and melt at the port while charging, posing fire and burn hazards.” Notably, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada as of August 11, 2026.
30,000 of the affected products were sold in Canada from May 2024 to March 2026.


Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the affected product. They can be returned to any HomeSense, Winners, or Marshalls for a refund.
