Metro Vancouver Dates
There are a number of great hikes to take in Metro Vancouver, and some are nice and short so you won’t look laboured and out of breath! With that being said, your date may be into fitness, and therefore appreciate a challenge. Whatever they’re into, there is a hike for every level in the lower mainland. What’s more, some of these hikes even lead to beautiful lakes!
Ice Cream Stroll
Once upon a time, getting ice cream was a pretty simple experience. There were only a few flavours to choose from, and cones and cups were all pretty standard. Fast forward to 2018 and things have taken a wild and positively wonderful turn. Now, you can get pretty much any flavour, in a variety of ice cream formations. For example, they even serve ice cream in a watermelon! So, if you are looking for a sweet date, check out some of the best places to get ice cream in Metro Vancouver.

Once you land in the cozy harbour you will be treated to a scrumptious three-course meal at Doc Morgan’s Restaurant.
New Westminster Quay Stroll
While there are a number of well-known places to stroll in the City of Vancouver, not everyone is aware of New Westminster’s Pier Park. Overlooking the mighty Fraser River, the park offers a beautiful waterfront vista. In fact, it is uniquely built with equal parts built on land and water. Owing this, it is the ideal place to take a long stroll as the 600 metre boardwalk runs along the breathtaking coastline. Not only is the park beautiful, but it also known for its iconic love locks. Located along the spacious boardwalk, it is the perfect place to take a date for a stroll around the pier. In fact, the locks are reminiscent of the ones in Paris, which takes romance to the next level!
Drive In Movie Theatre
While many people enjoy catching a flick indoors, there’s something nostalgically enticing about the Twilight Drive-In movie theatre. What’s more, a one ticket entrance fee gets you into both shows, so you can enjoy hours of fun under the stars. As Metro Vancouver’s only Drive-In, it’s worth the drive to Aldergrove for the old-timey summertime romance.
While it has been smoky of late, BC has some of the most magical beaches in the entire world. As such, they make for the perfect setting for a summer date. To make things even nicer, you can bring a floatie to enjoy hanging out in the water with your date. There’s nothing more romantic than a sunset over the water!
A date at the fair is a recipe for summertime romance. Win your date a giant stuffed animal, coyly grab their hand on the ferris wheel, or share a sweet, fluffy stack of cotton candy. It can’t get any cuter than that! Check out some of this year’s outrageous eats at the PNE you can snack on your date.
There’s eating in, and then there’s cooking together. While it is nice to be served, there’s something decidedly intimate about hand-picking food together, and making it with love.
