Summertime means going out more often, so now’s the perfect time to get out and have that real movie experience. And although movie ticket prices seem to be getting higher and higher, Cineplex is offering $3.99 movies this June! Movie-goers can have that true Cineplex experience at an affordable price.
All of this is done through the Cineplex Family Favourites program. These films are meant for everybody, and are especially good for families. The showings are occasionally swapped out for different ones and are also dependent on which location you go to, but these are the two listed on their website for June.

The Bad Guys is a 2022 animated film all about bad guys going good. During a heist, a group of criminals are caught in the act and end up getting arrested. They opt to be “reformed” in order to avoid jail time– and so they can have another chance at their heist. Although, the leader of the group, Mr. Wolf, seems to be having a change of heart, and might actually like being the good guy.
Dog Man (Friday, June 27)

Dog Man is a 2025 animated film by the legendary Dav Pilkey of the Captain Underpants franchise fame. The film follows the story of a police officer and his loyal dog who get injured in the line of duty, but are fused together during a surgery to save both their lives. Now known as Dog Man, the dog-cop is on a mission to stop the supervillain Petey the Cat.
The movies cost $3.99 for CineClub members with their booking fee waived. Prices are $4.99 for Scene+ members ($3.99 + $1.00 online booking fee), and cost $5.49 for all other customers ($3.99 + $1.50 online booking fee), plus tax.
