Tea Recall In Canada
The recall concerns Celebration Herbals brand Senna Leaf Herbal Tea. It was distributed online across B.C., New Brunswick, and Ontario, and is believed to be contaminated with Salmonella.
Although food contaminated with Salmonella may not appear or smell spoiled, it can still make you very sick. Those at the highest risk of infection are young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems. They can contract serious and sometimes deadly infections.

As for healthy people, Salmonella can cause short-term symptoms like fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. In long-term situations, severe arthritis may occur.
If you believe you have been infected or sick from consuming the recalled product, you are advised to contact your healthcare provider. Consumers are also being asked to check to see if they have the recalled products. If so, they should throw out the products, or return them to the location in which they were purchased.
