The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recently issued a recall in B.C. for a popular brand of spread due to it containing pieces of glass. Consumers are advised to “not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products.”

Spread Recall in B.C.
The CFIA has issued a recall for allo simonne brand Pistachio Matcha Spread and Almond Cardamom Spread. The products were sold online, as well as in B.C. and Quebec.
The products are being recalled due to reportedly containing pieces of glass. As a Class II recall, “there is a moderate risk that consuming the food may lead to short-term or non-life threatening health problems.”
“Do not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products,” the CFIA advises.
