This is doubly so for Chinese food. And as usual, the Chinese Restaurant Awards have named tons of Metro Vancouver restaurants as being the best in the country.
This year, a Vancouver spot has been crowned the best Chinese restaurant in Canada.

The Chinese Restaurant Awards is an annual celebration of excellence in Chinese cuisine. It was founded in Vancouver back in 2008, and has since named a wide variety of amazing restaurants across Canada and beyond in its accolades.

For 2026, they’ve named the “Elite 12” in the U.S. and “Elite 30” in Canada.
The Best Chinese Restaurant In Canada For 2026
So, where’s the best Chinese restaurant?
That would be in Vancouver (and technically Toronto). MOTT 32 was crowned the number-one best Chinese restaurant in Canada, with locations on both the east and west coast.
Founded in Hong Kong, MOTT 32 brings that city’s cosmopolitan outlook to both Canadian dining rooms. Under the culinary direction of Group Chinese Executive Chef Sing Lee, the menu builds on Cantonese foundations while drawing from other regional Chinese traditions. His approach gives the restaurants a clear culinary identity, carried through by the Vancouver and Toronto kitchen teams in both the signature dishes and newer creations.
Vancouver is also in third place with Dynasty Seafood Restaurant, as well as fifth place with Landmark Hotpot House.
Last year, the Chinese Restaurant Awards gave the top title to Vancouver’s Dynasty Seafood Restaurant. And in second place was another Vancouver favourite– Chang’An Restaurant, which focuses on Shaanxi/Xi’an cuisine. Among other winners were Landmark Hotpot House (Vancouver), Sea Harbour Seafood Restaurant (Richmond), and Bamboo Grove (Richmond).
