Canada has a lot of natural beauty, but B.C. can’t be beat when it comes to stunning views of the ocean. And it seems like many people agree that the province has some of the best vistas in the world, as well.

In a recent Time Out article, they list the best beaches from Lonely Planet’s book Best Beaches: 100 of the World’s Most Incredible Beaches. While B.C.’s beach didn’t reach the number-one spot, the West Coast got pretty close to the top, ranking in the upper ranks of the top 25 best beaches in the world.

This destination is 40KM of pure golden beaches. It’s spread across four bays and has never-ending sunshine, soft sand, and gorgeously blue water. It’s great for parasailing and scuba diving, with gentle waves that offer a relaxing experience for people of all swimming levels. There’s also plenty of delicious food around, particularly for seafood.

Best B.C. Beach

Depending on where in B.C. you’re from, you may not be surprised to hear that it’s Chesterman Beach in Tofino that made it onto the list. Known for its great surfing scene, kayaking and tide pools, this is fantastic beach for everyone.

Because of its calm waters in the summertime, it’s an ideal spot for beginner surfers. And during the winter, the strong waves make it great for those of a higher skill to test their mettle.
