If you have a pair of wireless earbuds, you might want to check that they’re not under this recall notice. On December 4, Health Canada issued a consumer product recall for a brand of wireless earbuds due to a fire and burn hazard.
Wireless Earbuds Recall Across Canada
The recall concerns True Wireless brand Earbuds that were purchased between July 17, 2025 and October 14, 2025. Products that were purchased before July 17, 2025 are exempt from the recall, as well as those that show a label indicating lot number 11012025.
The issue is due to the USB charging cords being manufactured with the wrong wiring material. This can cause the earbuds to overheat when plugged in for charging, ultimately posing a burn and fire hazard.

There are 3 reports of incidents in Canada as of November 27, 2025. There are no reports of injuries, with 16,278 having been sold in Canada.
Consumers are being advised to immediately stop using the recalled product. It can be returned to a Giant Tiger store for a refund. For more information, consumers can also contact Giant Tiger Stores Limited by telephone at 1-833-848-4437 or by email at [email protected]. The recall was also posted on the OECD Global Portal on Product Recalls website, which can be visited for more information on other international consumer product recalls.
