Helicopter Captures Whistler’s First Tracks Of 2016/17

It’s not quite winter, but skiers and snowboarders should feel jolly knowing Whistler Blackcomb is full of fresh powder one month ahead of it’s opening date.

On the final day of summer operations, Blackcomb received an estimated 30+cms of snow. Since September 1st, North America’s No. 1 ski resort has received numerous snowfalls to help the slopes prepare for the upcoming season.

On October 10, two local veterans were sent up to test the goods and lay down the first track of the Winter 2016 – 2017 season on the Horstman Glacier.
