The festival offers plenty of fun for everyone with its free and low-barrier events, alongside some ticketed experiences. This ensures that absolutely everybody gets to have a blast on the mountain. Visitors can expect both national and local performers that will be bringing the festival to life, highlighting the depth and diversity of LGBTQIA2S+ talent. This includes DJs, drag performers, and hosts at après and nightlife programming.

It’s part of our culture, our history, and it’s played an important role in bringing people from all walks of life together under one game. The Museum of Surrey’s newest free exhibit is showcasing exactly that, highlighting the integral part hockey has played in Canada’s past and present. Excitingly, it also shines a light on Surrey’s local hockey heroes, as well as having plenty of interactive activities that will get the whole family hooting and hollering for a goal.

Visitors will have the chance to learn all about how hockey is part of the glue that keeps Canada together. Alongside the national icons on showcase, Surrey’s own athletes and game-changers will be under the same spotlight, as well as the untold stories of diversity in hockey. Women’s hockey, para hockey, and Punjabi broadcasters have all played some amazing parts in making the sport what it is today– especially locally.

Conveniently located beside Surrey Central Skytrain station with underground parking available, enjoy a bright and festive atmosphere with family and friends, and relax with hot beverages and snacks available for purchase from the on-site café. Bring your own skates, or rent them for $5 a pair. Helmets are free to rent and required for kids 12 and under. School and private groups can reserve the rink for groups of up to 80 people on select mornings.
