Hiking & Biking
This steep urban 4.5-km trail round-trip follows a route under hydro power lines. While it’s not a great spot to catch some views, it does make for an awesome workout.
Burke Mountain is home to a network of trails that can accommodate mountain bikers of any skill level with a suitable terrain. Please remember to respect nature (including bears) and stay on the trails.
This hidden gem has 6-kms of scenery to explore. With minimal elevation gain, it’s an easy 2-hour trek round-trip.
Minnekhada Regional Park
An underrated spot with 10-kms of lush forested trails to explore. See lots of wildlife and nature in this 2.5-hour trek.
An easy 7-km round-trip route that leads you to a cascading waterfall that feeds into the Coquitlam River. It takes about 2-hours to complete.

Movies will be screened every Wednesday and Saturday in July, August, and September at 11AM.

July 1 | Canada Day Celebration
Coquitlam’s Canada Day festivities take place on Sunday, July 1st at Town Centre Park. From 12:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m., this FREE event will have a diverse lineup of live entertainment, delicious ethnic and regional food, multicultural activities, and fireworks.
July 5 | Circus Time
Come out to Coquitlam Centre for another exciting circus!
July 7 | Kick For A Cure
Kick for a Cure is an awesome all day event in Coquitlam, BC. Soccer tournaments, kids soccer clinics, Canadian Tire Family Fun Zone, prizes, beer/sangria garden, food vendors, sports celebrities, and all day entertainment including live bands.
Proceeds from the Kick For A Cure benefit the Michael Cuccione Childhood Cancer Research Program at BC Children’s Hospital.
July 13 | Summer Concert Series
Music lovers will enjoy free summer concerts under the evening sky at TD Community Plaza in Town Centre Park.
Choose to either sit on the grassed seating levels or bring your own chair or blanket while enjoying a homemade picnic or meal purchased from an on-site food truck.
July 14 | Ultimate Car Show
More than 300 classic, muscle, premier, exotic and specialty vehicles will be on display at the fifth annual Ultimate Car Show on July 14th running from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This free, family event kicks off with a pancake breakfast starting at 8 am and paid for by donation and includes an outdoor barbecue, beer garden and live entertainment.
July 22 | Kokedama Workshop
Have you heard of Kokedama? Kokedama is Japanese for ‘moss ball,’ and is a fun and current trend in gardening. In this class, Master Gardener Amanda Smith will take you step by step through creating your own kokedama to take home.
Presented by Greenline Dental and Evergreen Cultural Centre, Music on the Grill bring top-notch musical acts to Coquitlam each summer. Come out for a sumptuous BBQ dinner served al fresco on the patio with pre-show entertainment, followed by the evening’s marquee presentation in the Studio Theatre.

August 20 | Improvcamp 2018
For a week this summer, over a hundred teens from all over the country will gather on Gambier Island, a beautiful getaway just minutes off the coast of Vancouver. There they will each learn to work together, to tap into their imaginations and discover a passion and self-confidence that will bring them back year after year.
