It has been indicated that the initial dispute started between the landlord and tenants over the use of an outdoor barbecue. The conflict later escalated into further allegations involving access to the rental property and confrontations between the parties.

Surrey Police Service has confirmed that officers attended the property on multiple occasions. They state that both the landlord and tenants contacted officers seeking assistance during the ongoing dispute.

The situation later resulted in Tiwana being arrested. Video shared online appears to show police officers taking her into custody at her residence. Surrey Police has confirmed the arrest but said no charges had been approved at the time of its statement.
