Snuneymuxw First Nation have just made their fifth major casino acquisition in B.C. in the past 12 months.
In a news release published on December 19, Snuneymuxw First Nation announced that they would be entering a definitive agreement for Petroglyph Development Group (PDG) to purchase Great Canadian Casino Vancouver, located in Coquitlam.

According to its website, the Great Canadian Casino Vancouver contains a “diverse gaming floor with slots and tables” as well as a “1,100-seat theatre featuring top-notch concerts and comedy shows.” Snuneymuxw First Nation also notes that it is a “highly successful entertainment venue”, and a landmark property that contains 917 slot machines, 37 table games, and 42 electronic table games. As for food, it offers the popular Gordon Ramsay Burger, the celebrity chef’s first restaurant in Canada.

Increasing The Gaming Portfolio

The proposed acquisition of Great Canadian Casino Vancouver marks another step toward economic self-determination for Snuneymuxw, strengthening our long-term prosperity, financial independence and restoring an economy that thrived for thousands of years.”
Some of Snuneymuxw First Nation’s other acquisitions include Casino Nanaimo, Elements Casino Victoria, as well as the “execution of purchase agreements with respect to River Rock Casino Resort and Chances Maple Ridge.”
