Self-Order Kiosks + Table Delivery Arrive At Select Metro Vancouver McDonald’s

McDonald’s as we know it is about to change, and it’s for the better.

Earlier this fall, McDonald’s Canada revealed plans to undergo one of it’s biggest changes and modernize its guest experience by introducing self-order kiosks that help customers customize their burgers down to the last bite. This includes building your own premium burgers from scratch, choosing from nearly 30 options, including five types of cheese, 12 toppings, two buns, a lettuce wrap and nine sauces

Guests will also have the luxury of table delivery, allowing them to sit down and enjoy their drinks while they wait for their customized burger creation to be made fresh off the grill and brought to their table.

“We’re thrilled that Metro Vancouver was selected to be among the first markets in Canada to bring the restaurant of the future directly to our guests,” said Shelly Hansen, Regional Vice President, Western Canada. “We’re excited to be showcasing our brand transformation, unveiling new, unexpected guest experiences and our Create Your Taste menu in three Greater Vancouver restaurants.”

The new services will launch in Langley, Surrey, and Burnaby, specifically at the following locations:

  • 20037 84th Avenue, Langley
  • 8586 120th Street, Surrey
  • 7360 Market Crossing, Burnaby

The modernized restaurant and guest experience is expected to create at least 45 new positions across the three Vancouver-area restaurants, with an estimated 10 to 15 additional jobs per restaurant. The company will also be investing an incremental $200,000 per restaurant as part of its accelerated growth plan leading up to its 50th anniversary in 2017.
