On Thursday, a Burnaby RCMP traffic sweep saw 55 out of 65 commercial vehicles inspected receive violations tickets.
Day 1 of the joint commercial vehicle initiative, which took place on Wednesday, saw 40 out of 47 commercial vehicles inspected receive violations tickets.
Day 2 of the sweep saw another 33 of 36 receive violation tickets.

“Day 3 of the joint commercial vehicle initiative saw 65 commercial vehicles inspected, 16 commercial vehicles identified as unsafe to continue and removed from the roadway, 55 violation tickets issued and 51 mechanical defects identified” reads the tweet.
The last day of the traffic sweeps are today, August 16th, and if we look at the results so far, it’s safe to say more violation tickets will be handed out.
