On Thursday, September 5th, Scarlett MacPherson captured video of a sexist and racist verbal assault while on a bus in Burnaby.

The incident occurred on the 95 B-line bus to SFU around 2:20 p.m., on Thursday, September 5th.

A man started yelling sexist and racist comments to women and men on the bus, and that’s when Scarlett decided to discreetly record the incident on her cellphone.

The man in the video was wearing sunglasses, a blue sleeveless shirt, and dirty grey shorts.

In the video you can hear him saying some awful stereotypes about Asians and made comments about some of the women’s physical appearances.

According to Burnaby RCMP, once the man got off the bus, he verbally abused a stranger and proceeded to assault the person near Parker Street and Alpha Avenue.

In addition, the suspect, whose name is Raul Miguel Rubio-Alabau, is accused of stealing from a liquor store before his arrest.

Police have charged him with assault, mischief, theft under $5,000 and uttering threats.

Back in July, another disturbing assault took place on a TransLink bus. A video of the incident shows a woman on the 95 B-line yelling at a group of teenagers for apparently not speaking English and throwing her backpack at them.
