Things To Do In Port Moody


Port Moody features an abundance of hiking trails with breathtaking views. Bunzten Lake, Indian Arm, Jug Island, and the Shoreline Hiking Trail are among the most popular to both visitors and locals.


Looking to cool off in the upcoming heat? Port Moody has a number of options that help. Rocky Point Park, located next to the Burrard Inlet, features a pier, where people can rent kayaks, canoes, or paddle boards.

In addition, other choices are Bunzten Lake, Sasamat Lake, all places where people can let loose and go boating, fishing, or simply just swim.

If you’re looking for white sand and warm, clear water, look no further.

White Pine beach, one of the two beaches at Sasamat Lake, is the perfect spot to go on a sunny day. Moreover, it’s an accessible beach featuring a concession stand and clean bathrooms, you’re always left satisfied.


Port Moody boasts an assortment of festivals, including the Golden Spike Days festival, as well as the Newport Village Summer Festival.


A three day event full of barbecue delicacies from all over Canada, Ribfest also offers free admission.

From July 20th to July 22nd, Ribfest is based in Rocky Point Park and features live entertainment. Further, it’s a family event that allows people to try out new flavours and then head to the pier to catch some scenic views. As a result, it offers the best of both worlds.

Port Moody’s Arts Centre aims to support local art and simultaneously show off the city’s history. The Arts Centre is a non-profit organization that features an art gallery as providing several classes, including a ‘Zen Doodling’ class every Tuesday.

Ranging from unique gift shops to delicious bakery goods, Newport Village has it all. Be sure to check out Casa Del Pane and Wish On A Star, the outdoor village’s exclusive stores!


When it comes to beer, the city stands out.

Featuring a plethora of breweries, including the iconic Yellow Dog Brewery, you can stroll over to Parkside Brewery or Yellow Dog after a day at Rocky Point Park for a refreshing cold beverage.
