Metro Vancouver’s main intersections see many major accidents in a single year. Whether it’s a collision or a vehicle veering off into a sidewalk, the roads see plenty of incidents.

According to ICBC, there were a total of 203,882 crashes in the Lower Mainland in 2025. Intersection crashes measured at 124,287, with 40,741 resulting in injured victims.
Based on the data collected by ICBC over the past year, here are the intersections in Metro Vancouver to drive through with extra caution. Notably, many of them occur on the on/offramp to highways.
Metro Vancouver’s Top 10 Most Dangerous Intersections
- Langley – 264 St. on/offramp & 56 Ave. on/offramp & Trans-Canada Hwy turning lane: 464 crashes
- Delta & Richmond – Alex Fraser Bridge & Cliveden Ave Hwy 91 on/offramp: 429 crashes
- Vancouver – Knight St. & SE Marine Dr. on/offramp: 357 crashes
- Burnaby – Grandview Hwy. & Trans-Canada Hwy. on/offramp: 355 crashes
- Langley – 200 St. offramp & 88 Ave. onramp & Trans-Canada Hwy: 301 crashes
- Coquitlam & New Westminster – Brunette Ave. & Trans-Canada Hwy. on/offramp: 260 crashes
- Coquitlam – Coleman Ave. & Fawcett Rd. Highway 7 on/offramp: 230 crashes
- Langley – 232 St. & 72 Ave. Trans-Canada Hwy. on/offramp: 223 crashes
- Abbotsford – Clearbrook Rd. & Marshall Rd. on/offramp & Trans-Canada Hwy turning lane: 219 crashes
- Burnaby – Kensington Ave. offramp & Trans-Canada Hwy onramp: 210 crashes
According to 2024 data, speed was the top contributor to fatal crashes. Alongside that, impaired and distracted driving were also top contributors.
