Langley could be in for a treat in the summer of 2018 – a night market!
While the pilot market was cancelled for the summer of 2017, plans for developing the Langley night market next year are well underway.
604 Now spoke with the Downtown Langley Business Association who informed us that the details had yet to be arranged at this point, but that there is strong interest in the event. They need to decide on a basic budget and location prior to arranging activities, entertainment, and formal dates.

Benefits Of A Langley Night Market
According to the Langley Times, City Councillor Paul Albrecht believes that a night market would generate a great deal of energy and engagement in the city’s downtown area. It would bring a substantial amount of economic revenue to the city.
If it is anything like the Richmond Night Market, Langley can expect to see a high volume of traffic come through the area. Not only does that market bring out its local population, but residents from across Greater Vancouver make the trek to shop, eat, and enjoy the entertainment. Notably, it’s the biggest night market in North America and one of the most popular attractions in Richmond.
