Fin, the beloved Vancouver Canucks mascot, made a surprise appearance at a New Jersey couple’s wedding. The special guest appearance was orchestrated by the bride Christina for her groom Dan as a token of love. “I wanted to do something special for him, so that it represented both of us as a couple” Christina explains.
The newlyweds’ fandom for the Canucks began with Dan’s idolization of the Russian Rocket even though he is from New Jersey and his family supports the New York Rangers (1994 must have been a riot in that household). Christina didn’t grow up a sports fan but surprised Dan when they were dating with a pair of Canucks home game tickets at Rogers Arena for Christmas during the 2010/11 season.
