School speed zones were back in effect this morning, and police already busted one local driver for speeding. Delta Police pulled over a driver for going 65 km/h in a 30 km/h school zone.

Not to mention, it took all of 30 seconds to stop the first violator.

“@deltapolice traffic unit has members at @deltasd37 schools across Delta….Took all of 30 seconds to stop the first violator at over double the listed limit” reads the tweet.

To ensure drivers are sticking to the speed limit in these zones, extra officers will be out patrolling the roads across the Metro Vancouver region.
