Dante Italian Sandwich got its start back in November 2024 on Robson Street, although it quickly grew from one location to three. Now, you can also find it on Commercial Drive and in Bentall Centre.
Owned by restauranteur brothers Dom and Frank Morra, Dante Italian Sandwich is all about keeping things authentic. With fresh, high-quality ingredients piled high on house-made schiacciata bread, every bite feels like taking a step down Italy’s rich and historical streets.

Whatever kind of sandwich you’re craving, you’re guaranteed to have at sated at this shop. Try the Italiana, complete with prosciutto crudo, prosciutto cotto, stracciatella cheese, truffle spread, and arugula. Or order the Mortazza, with its mortadella, stracciatella cheese, basil spread, pistachio crumble, and arugula.
And you can’t forget about that legendary grilled cheese sandwich on the menu. If you’re looking for that, you’ll want to be ordering the Formaggi X4, which comes with mozzarella, provolone, stracciatella, and grana padano, as well as some red onion. Four cheeses equals quite an impressive cheese pull.
