Exotic Cars: The Top 6 from ‘Fast & Furious 6’

Fast & Furious 6 is ready to come roaring into theaters with the film franchise’s most international cast of automotive all-stars including Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and Dwayne Johnson. The most attractive part of the movie is the exotic cars that are tuned to a point that will leave your jaws on the ground. Here’s the top 6 cars from Fast 6:

Dodge Charger SRT8
Behind the SRT8’s gaping front grille is a 470-hp 6.4-liter V-8 engine, which is coupled to a 5-speed automatic transmission. This rear-wheel-drive behemoth will smoke its tires whenever you want.

Jensen Interceptor
The film car has been modified from stock and now sports racier front and rear fasciae, along with some beastly side-exit exhausts. It is apart of the elite ground-thumping Chrysler V-8 engines of the era.

Ford Escort
The engines weren’t huge – top models had anything from 1.3 to 2.0-liter 4-cylinders under the hood – but the Escort’s light curb-weight, perfect balance, and sharp steering made it an automotive rock star, despite some very humble origins.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta
The hottest versions have snarling little turbocharged 4-cylinders and four-wheel-drive. This Alfa isn’t sold in the States, but the same platform can be found underpinning the latest Dodge Dart sedan.

Dodge Charger Daytona
It’s hard to imagine this crazy car came fresh from the factory with that pointed noise, and a rear spoiler that looks like it was borrowed from a WWI fighter plane. The Daytona was built with one purpose in mind, to win in NASCAR. With its sleeker aerodynamic packaging, the 1969 Charger Daytona could top 200-mph – prompting NASCAR to quickly ban these extreme aero add-ons.

A Tank
Fast 6’ production used not one, but two working tanks during filming. They were built, using a heavy-duty truck chassis, like the type used in motorhomes. Approximately 300 cars were used during filming, and the tank scene is one of the main culprits for all this automotive carnage.

Fast 6 hits theaters Thursday May 24th. Check out the trailer HERE.
