Chanelle Chalazan is more than just a student– at just 16, she’s founded her own Saskatoon-based jewelry brand, brought it to over 10 cities across Canada, and has earned a plethora of awards for her entrepreneurship. And that’s all while being in high school full-time.
Now, the founder of Chic & Charmed Boutique is headed back to the West Coast for the National Women’s Show Vancouver on September 19 and 20 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Expect beautiful crystal jewelry alongside a chance to hear Chalazan speak about building a national brand while being only 16-years-old.
Chanelle Chalazan, the Founder of Chic & Charmed Boutique
Chic & Charmed began as an idea– colourful, high-quality jewelry with accessible prices. Even while being a full-time student, Chalazan worked hard to build her business up from its roots, and it has since bloomed into a nationwide success. From being featured on CTV and Global News to spotting them on a billboard, Chic & Charmed is making its way across Canada.
The company operates online as opposed to having a traditional storefront, and visits trade shows and major consumer events. Chalazan is a hands-on founder, being directly involved with all aspects of Chic & Charmed– this includes representing her brand at these events in-person.

And even with all those shows she attends, she always makes sure to return to Saskatoon in time for class.
Affordable and Beautiful
Aside from having a full-time student as founder, what also sets apart Chic & Charmed from other jewelry brands is that it’s exceptionally made and affordable.
Chic & Charmed specializes in crystal ball accessories, such as elegant stud earrings, hoops, necklaces, and bracelets. Many of the pieces are made with .925 sterling silver, and are designed to be waterproof and sweatproof– they’re also nickel-free.

Additionally, the company’s online platform means that overhead is low. Plenty of its pieces are priced at approximately a quarter of the price of many other Canadian jewelry competitors. Owning beautiful jewelry doesn’t have to come at luxury prices, and Chic & Charmed is proving that.
National Women’s Show Vancouver
Over the years, Chic & Charmed has expanded to more than 10 Canadian cities, including Saskatoon, Regina, Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Victoria, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Ottawa, and Toronto. But to Chalazan, the West Coast is a significant part of her brand’s story. For a company based in Saskatoon, bringing her products to B.C. is a big step, and now she’s making another stop in Vancouver again this September.
The National Women’s Show Vancouver runs from September 19-20, with Chalazan showcasing her brand’s newest jewelry, restocks, and customer favourites for Vancouverites to explore over the weekend. Not only that, but Chalazan will also be taking the stage on Sunday to talk about her experience in building a business at 16.

Excitingly, Chic & Charmed customers can also save on admission to the show! Use promo code VANFRIEND26 online, and you’ll get two regular adult admission tickets for just $22.
