BCIT students are in luck if they’re looking for a place on campus to catch some extra Z’s.
The institution unveiled the futuristic sleeping pods on their social media accounts last week. The pods are located in the library of the Burnaby campus.
The peaceful space allows students to take a nap in between classes in a comfortable place that is convenient for them to access.

They installed two nap pods as part of a pilot program, and before you get any ideas—only one student is allowed in a pod at a time.
BCIT previously installed a nap area inside the gym, but decided the library is a more central location to get a good nap in.

There will be cleaning equipment next to the pods where students will be expected to wipe down the area after they’re done.
Pods must be booked ahead of time and there will be an alarm system in place.
