The sky will be full of lights and the beaches swarming with spectators.
Today, August 2nd, the United Kingdom takes the Celebration of Lights by storm with their Jubilee Fireworks presentation at 10 p.m. sharp.
Organizers are expecting approximately 500,000 viewers to descend upon the beaches of downtown Vancouver for the electric display. They usually predict roughly 400,000 spectators, so this is an exceptionally high turnout.

The festival is encouraging people to walk, cycle, or take transit to the event. There will be a multitude of road closures in effect during this time.
If you want to check out some fun prior to the show, there is a festival-site at Ceperley Park. It is being called the Park Stage at Second Beach, and will offer food trucks, live entertainment, and art displays.
