The company is testing the self-driving robots in the Seattle suburb of Snohomish County, Washington.

The bots are able to move around objects such as pets, people and “anything else in its path.” They have six wheels, move at a “walking pace” and are about the size of a cooler.

Amazon is testing out six robots that will operate during daylight hours from Monday to Friday.

For now, an Amazon employee will be accompanying the robot, but additional details of how the service will work have not been provided.

Could Vancouver be seeing Scout next?
