Summer may be over, but Cineplex has one last surprise for everyone: cheap movie tickets. Wrap up the sunny season right with some $5 flicks for a bunch of your favourite blockbuster films in theatres!

Cineplex’s summer wrap-up tickets are coming for a limited-time only. In fact, they’re only going to be here for two days this month!
Additionally, the $5 tickets are for General Admission, but they can be upgraded to any premium experience for an added cost. If you’re looking for some date-night plans, then an IMAX movie at a fraction of the price sounds pretty great. And popcorn will only be $5 during this time!
A portion of the ticket proceeds will also be going to a good cause: The Canadian Picture Pioneers. They are “a unique charitable organization that is dedicated to the support and well-being of members of the motion picture industry.”
The tickets are available starting Wednesday, August 27, but they’ll be applicable for August 30 and 31. You can purchase them either in-person or online.
WHICH FILMS CAN I SEE?
Depending on what theatre you’re going to, the films on offer may change. For the horror fans, Weapons is currently playing. But if you’re taking the kids out, then animated family-friendly movie The Bad Guys 2 is on the big screen just for them.
Feeling nostalgic? Freakier Friday with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan is also going to be playing! And for everyone who can’t get enough of superhero movies, the critically-acclaimed Superman will be available to watch. The Fantastic 4: First Steps will similarly be available.
No matter what movie you’re finishing summer off with, you can be sure you’re watching it at an awesome price. Just be sure to get your tickets as soon as possible because this sale is happening only for the end of August!
