For one day only this September, Cineplex moviegoers will get to enjoy a FREE movie along with affordable snacks and games.
Cineplex’s popular Community Day returns for another year. The event rasises funds for Canadian youths while also bringing communities together for a day of fun and entertainment.

Cineplex Community Day 2024
Cineplex has announced that its 12th annual Community Day will take place on Saturday, September 14.
During this event, moviegoers can enjoy free films between 9 and 11 a.m. at participating theatres, making it a perfect morning activity for families and friends. This yearly event not only offers complimentary movies but also features discounted concessions. Snacks and drinks will be available for just $3.
Additionally, The Rec Room will also be hosting a morning of complimentary non-redemption gaming from 9 am to 11 am. Food and beverages will be offered at a reduced price of $3 each during the morning hours. Certain locations will also feature activities like bowling, ping pong, pool, and more.

The event supports a good cause
The funds raised will go towards BGC Canada. The organization is dedicated to empowering Canadian youth and helping them develop essential life skills.

For every food and beverage order, as well as every game band purchase throughout the day, $1 will be donated to BGC Canada. Similarly, $1 from each concession order and XSCAPE Play Card purchase will also support the cause.
With a legacy of serving the country’s youth for 125 years, BGC Canada is the largest child and youth-serving organization in the nation. Over the years, Cineplex’s Community Day events have successfully raised over half a million dollars to support BGC Canada’s mission, making a significant impact on the lives of countless children and teens across the country.
