YVR Entrepreneurs Head Into The Dragons’ Den

Two local entrepreneurs are hoping puppy power is enough to slay the dragons when they enter the den next week.

Cam and Marcus Dahl, owners of Jet Pet Resort, which is a pet paradise located near YVR, are heading into the Dragons’ Den to pitch their business concept.

The pair is asking for $200,000 for 30 per cent of their business to expand into the Ontario market.

The 15,000-square-foot facility, which opened in September 2010 and can house 70 dogs and 20 cats, features themed rooms, an exercise room, a Kitty Wing, a day spa, beds furnished with a hypo-allergenic sheepskin covers as well as private TVs and video monitors so owners can stay in touch with their pampered pets.

Rates begin at $37 per night for dog rates, while overnight cat boarding starts at $20.

Ironically, Kevin O’Leary will be in Vancouver this week hosting a networking event at the Pan Pacific hotel downtown.

Catch the episode next Wednesday to see if the Dahl’s claw a deal.
