The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall for various salsas, guacamoles, pico de gallos, and prepared foods that were sold at Whole Foods Market.

Whole Foods Market Product Recall in Canada
According to the recall notice, the products sold at Whole Foods Market are being recalled due to possible Salmonella contamination. Moreover, it is associated with an Outbreak of Investigation of Salmonella: Jalapeño (August 2026) by the FDA.
“Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick,” the CFIA explains. “Young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious and sometimes deadly infections. Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis.”
Consumers are asked to not consume, serve, use, sell, or distribute the affected products should they own them. If you believe you have become sick from consuming a recalled product, you are advised to contact your healthcare provider.
