You can thank Mother Nature for the earlier opening date.
Nearly 50 centimetres (19 inches) of fresh snow fell in the alpine over the last couple of days, while another 50 cm is in the forecast by Friday.
Complete Experience
Whistler offers the perfect experience for riders. It has more than 3,300 hectares of terrain, 200+ trails and 37 lifts.
Visitors can also take part in snowmobile tours, snowshoeing, or ziplining.
Whistler is the latest resort to open early for the season. Both Grouse and Cypress have received heavy snowfall, leading to earlier openings.
