It’s always a party in the summer, both on land and under water.
Approximately 50 orcas from the J and J pods were seen dancing and partying while swimming through British Columbia’s Active Pass near Galiano Island.
YouTube user Gary Cullen caught the cool moment, which included orcas jumping playfully out of the water. According to the Vancouver Aquarium, the orcas enjoy swimming through Active Pass, which happens to be the same route the BC Ferries travels when moving between Vancouver and Victoria.
So why are they so excited? The Aquarium adds the active water and tides excite the whales which clearly seems to be the case.
Earlier this week, another orca was spotted swimming solo near Stanley Park.
