At the Northern Lights Wolf Centre you can expect to come face to face with some of nature’s fiercest canines and come away completely unharmed.
You can take a tour upon arrival with no reservation required. They do a 25 minute interpretive presentation about wolves and the role that they play in the environment. You’ll learn about the pivotal role these animals play in nature, and also why they have been deeply misrepresented.
Up Close And Personal: Walk With Wolves
If you want to have a more intimate experience, you can walk with wolves on a special photography hike. The walk takes place in the wilderness where jagged mountain peaks soar high above the forest floor.
The wolves roam freely around you and treat you as a member of their pack! Qualified wolf handlers are always around to ensure that the experience is completely safe. For this tour, you will need to make a reservation.
The forest is filled with meandering rivers, wetlands, and snow caped peaks, which make for a stunning backdrop for nature pictures (hello, Instagram!)
You can also opt to take a full day-trip to the Northern Lights Wolf Centre and enjoy even more interactive fun as well as BBQ during the spring, summer and fall months.
The tours are open all year long. Family tours are also available where children may learn more about wolves and view them from their enclosures.
All of the wolves are bred in captivity, but they are pure-bred wolves. As a note, the centre asks that you please leave your dogs and other pets at home when you visit the centre. Wolves are territorial animals and therefore this policy is strictly enforced.
