Vancouver To Install New Series of Artistic City-Inspired Bike Racks (Photos)

Vancouver Bike Racks

The City of Vancouver will soon be installing a series of colourful and city-inspired bicycle racks across the city.

The new bike rack designs were the winning entries in a 2018 bike rack design contest.

The winning designs were:

North Shore Mountain, designed by Josiane Vlitos

Both the North Shore Mountain and Petal Rack design were also People’s Choice Award winners during recent exhibitions.

The contest drew an estimated 450 entries.

These new bicycle racks are expected to be installed across Vancouver streets, sidewalks, plazas, and other places that may need bike racks.

The first batch will be installed on Thursday, August 15th, at the South False Creek Seawall.
