With that being said, not everyone enjoys reading, but there’s much more to a Vancouver Public Library card than just books.

That is certainly more than you’ll be able to digest in your lifetime, and therefore you’ll likely find a vast wealth of information on nearly any topic. Inspiration Lab
What exactly is an inspiration lab?
The library defines it as, “Vancouver’s free space dedicated to digital creativity, collaboration and storytelling.” What’s more, it is yours to enjoy thanks to your trusty library card.
You may:
- record professional quality audio and video in one of the recording studios.
- covert photographs, audio cassettes, and video tapes into digital formats.
- edit images, audio tracks, and video clips, or self-publish your own eBook

Vancouver Inspiration Pass
Hugely popular, the Vancouver Inspiration Pass opens the door to exciting experiences and fun things to see and do across the city. The free pass is valid for a period of two weeks, and can be borrowed through any location.
Thanks to the program’s 27 partner venues, residents can check out the best that their city can offer – including popular attractions, museums, heritage sites, fitness facilities, world-class gardens and cultural performances.
There are 140 passes available for loan every two weeks – 20 are available through the Central Library downtown and six passes available at each of VPL branches across the city. With that being said, some patrons will experience a wait before a pass becomes available.
