Vancouver is known for its scenic outdoor locations and a new study shows how popular the city is for the film industry.
A study recently completed by insurance company GoCompare ranked the most filmed locations in the world.
This study created a list for the top countries, areas and attractions used in the film industry today.

Out of 20 international cities, Vancouver came in at #14. The #1 most filmed city in the world is Manhattan, New York.
Likewise, the University of British Columbia (UBC) came in at #9 on the list of most filmed locations on earth. It boasts an impressive 91 film productions to date.

- The Butterfly Effect (2004)
- Fantastic Four (2005)
- She’s the Man (2006)
- Fifty Shades of Grey (2015)
