March is Distracted Driving Awareness month and one Vancouver driver learned that the hard way.
On Monday, March 18th a driver was issued two distracted driving tickets within six minutes by two different officers. That equals $736 in fines.

The driver was first pulled over at 9:49 a.m. in downtown Vancouver and received a $368 ticket. Then at 9:55 a.m., just six minutes later, the same driver was pulled over by a different police and issued another $368 ticket. According to the tickets, the driver was using electronics while driving in both infractions.

Last week, officers were set up on Granville Street to catch anyone who might be using their phone while driving.
In 2.5 hours, 15 drivers received tickets for distracted driving.
