Vancouver Police are investigating a serious collision last night where a van struck two pedestrians. They were sent to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Just before 6:30 p.m., first responders were called to Burrard Street near Pacific Boulevard, after a newer model silver Dodge caravan, struck two pedestrians on a sidewalk near the Burrard Street Bridge.

The pedestrians, “a 35-year-old Vancouver woman, and a 53-year-old Vancouver woman, were both transported to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the van, a man in his 60’s, was also transported to hospital for assessment” reads a statement.
According to investigators, they believe the van was southbound on Burrard Street, approaching Pacific Boulevard, when it jumped the curb and struck the pedestrians.
The pedestrians were walking on the west sidewalk.
The cause of this collision has not yet been determined and the investigation is ongoing.
