Music | Music By The River Festival 2017
Put on by the Arts Council of New Westminster, Alex Jopson (of City to Suburb Real Estate Group) and the City of New Westminster, this all-ages event delivers high-quality entertainment to the community. It will begin at 5:00 p.m. and go until 8:00 p.m.
Food | Port Moody Ribfest 2017
The Port Moody Ribfest takes place this year from Friday, July 21st – Sunday, July 23rd, 2017. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Port Moody, this free event takes place at Rocky Point Park. Open from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. each day, this community festival features live music, family-friendly activities and of course, barbecued ribs.
Adult-fun | 19+ Adult Nights At Playland
The evenings dedicated to adults-only will center around the usual attractions and mainly alcohol. Guests can look forward to craft beer and wine, as well as Playland themed cocktails such as the candy floss martini and fresh squeezed hard lemonade. The event will run every Friday in July, kicking off on July 7 and returning July 14, 21, and 28. Each event will run from 7:00pm through midnight.
Outdoor shopping | Night Markets
The Illumination Night Market, Richmond Night Market, and North Vancouver Shipyards Night Market are all now open. In addition, Fridays on Front, a brand new weekly night market experience in Downtown New West is now open. Fridays on Front will run every Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. for eight consecutive weeks on the 600-block of Front Street.
Free outdoor yoga returned to Kitsilano Beach on Thursday, June 1st, 2017 and runs until the end of August. The daily free yoga classes are organized by Mat Collective. Not to mention, they will feature 1-3 classes each day with a variety of different levels.
Outdoor Movie | Theatre Under The Stars 2017
Theatre Under the Stars presents one of the most popular Disney classics of all time, Mary Poppins. It plays from Friday, July 7th, 2017 – Friday, August 18th at Stanley Park’s Malkin Bowl. Everyone’s favourite nanny captures hearts anew as she swoops in to teach the Banks family a lesson in love and imagination.
Brunch | North Vancouver Brunch Affair 2017
Brunch Affair takes place on Saturday, July 22nd, 2017 at The Pipe Shop at the Shipyards. From 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., take in beautiful views of Vancouver while enjoying brunch from a selection of vendors. They include Sunday Cider, Finch & Barley, Pastries & Desserts by Thomas Haas, and more.
Biking | World Naked Bike Ride Vancouver 2017
The World Naked Bike Ride is coming to Vancouver weekend on Saturday, July 22nd. The day’s festivities kickoff at Sunset Beach Park at 12:00 p.m. and go until 6:00 p.m. Body painting and performances will take place at noon and will be followed by the ride at 2:00 p.m. Not to mention, the ride and pre-ride activities are all free.

The Vancouver Pride Society is hosting Pride Sports Day this Saturday. The event takes place from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Second Beach. It brings members of the LGBTQ2+ community and their allies together for a fun, active, and inclusive day.
Parenting | MommyCon Vancouver 2017
MommyCon Vancouver takes place Saturday, July 22nd, 2017. It goes from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.at Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront. MommyCon is a nationwide convention series dedicated to creating and nurturing a community of parents and parents-to-be in celebration of natural parenting. Admission is $45.
Cultural festival | Surrey Fusion Festival 2017
The 10th annual Surrey Fusion Festival runs from Saturday, July 22nd, 2017 to Sunday July 23rd. Once again it’s taking place at Holland Park from 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. and admission is free. Throughout the two days, you will experience the world’s different cuisines, music, and cultures. Over 45 different cultures will be present at this year’s event. Not to mention, Nelly Furtado, Classified, and Alx Veliz are headlining this year’s event.
Outdoor movie | Cinema Under The Stars Langley 2017
Cinema Under The Stars is hosting a movie night in Langley this weekend. The movie being played is Honey I Shrunk the Kids. It will be displayed on a giant screen in the new Fresh Family Fun field at the Krause Berry Farms and Estate Winery. The movie is free with your admission to the field. Furthermore, gates open at 6:00 p.m., allowing lots of play time before the movie begins at roughly 9:15 p.m.
Racetrack | The Deighton Cup 2017
Taking place this Saturday is the 9th annual Deighton Cup. The day long event goes from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and sees ladies and gents don their best attire – from funky bowties, flashy blazers, wild mesh hats, feather hair pieces and dainty dresses.
