Richmond Night Market Food

The Illumination Night Market, and Richmond Night Market are now open. The food is the perfect reason to go—with tons of options to satisfy your cravings. Entertainment and dancing will also be offered nightly.

All summer | Richmond Drive-In Theatre

The popular drive-in movie series features an awesome line-up of films that will air every Wednesday at sundown (around 9:30pm) throughout July and August. Movies include Top Gun, Jurassic Park, La La Land, and much more.

June 27 | Elaine Quehl – A Design Journey

Award-winning Canadian quilt artist, teacher and designer, Elaine Quehl offers a digital presentation and trunk show of her recent work. It takes place at Richmond Cultural Centre on Tuesday, June 27th, 2017. It takes place from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $5.


June 29 | Walk Richmond – Thompson/Terra Nova

Explore both the north end of the Railway Greenway trail and the Fraser River along the Terra Nova dyke trail with its panoramic view of the airport. It begins at Thompson Community Centre at 7:00 p.m.

July 1 | Richmond Canada Day in Steveston

Steveston has announced elaborate plans to celebrate Canada Day this July 1st. A free, full-day street party throughout Steveston Village alongside the Steveston Salmon Festival is in store. Hosted by the City of Richmond, a headline performance by Juno Award-winners Wintersleep and fireworks over the Fraser River will cap off the Canada Day celebrations.

July 1 | Steveston Salmon Festival 2017

The 72nd annual Steveston Salmon Festival rings in Canada’s 150th birthday on Saturday, July 1st, 2017. Taking place on the beautiful shores of Steveston, the event will grill over 1,200 pounds of wild salmon filets over open fire pits. The Salmon Barbeque is $15 per plate and accepts cash only.

July 1 | McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Canada Day Mass Yoga Event

McArthurGlen Designer Outlet is inviting you to celebrate our nation’s 150th birthday with a massive outdoor yoga gathering. The event takes place from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. , being led by Lolë ambassadors and set to the rhythms of live musical performances.

July 5 | City Centre’s Concerts in the Park Series

Enjoy a free night of fun activities and entertainment by local artists at Garden City Park.This event is for all ages.

July 5 | Yoga in the Park

Yoga in the Park

Yoga in the Park comes to Thompson Community Centre on Wednesday, July 5th, 2017. The all ages event is free and is taking place from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

July 18 | Paint in the Park

Grab your friends and join them on the Thompson field for a free, self-directed paint night. No experience required. Snacks and supplies will be provided. It takes place from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

July 22 | Car Boot Sale

Sell and search for new and used treasures at this unique parking lot sale. It will take place rain or shine at Steveston Community Centre from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

August 9 | Justice League Heroes

Ever wanted to be a superhero? Enjoy these energetic stations to find your inner superhero. Activities take place at Thompson Community Centre from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.


August 31 | Wacky Olympics

Go for the gold in many of the fun filled and energetic event stations. Moreover, this event is for children 5 and under. This free event takes place at Thompson Community Centre.
